This Month On Antville.org

As I already announced in my last post I will move Elise, the good ole server providing Antville.org, to a new location this month.
The preliminary schedule is set for Thursday, 15 November 2007, 9:30 CETbut there's no appointment with the new provider, yet. Expect confirmation (hopefully!) in the next days.
Update: The schedule is now confirmed.
Concerning the time of moving Antville.org will be down for at least half a day Murphy willing.
Because the server IP needs to be changed, it could get a little bit bumpy afterwards until the Internet's DNS system has caught up again.
So stay tuned, I'll keep you informed.

just to know: who'll be the new provider? does this mean someone'll have to shell out bandwith fees? (or was this already discussed and i've forgotten...?)

The new provider
is called Silver Server, quite famous in Vienna.
Because they are really nice folks Antville still got a very good deal concerning bandwidth costs. Nevertheless, there definitely will be higher expenses in the future.
Short-term this won't be a problem as Antville successfully got another 2.500€ through public funding.
However, in the long run we will need to discuss how to further finance / run the project.
